So you've taken the ballroom dance classes and learned the dance steps. Now you need a place to practice your dance moves. The rec center in Guntersville is a good place to hone your skills. It has a large floor, good music and ballroom dancers of all levels.

Directions: From Huntsville - take 431 toward Guntersville. As soon as you go over
the bridge into Guntersville take the first right onto L.B. Wallace Drive (along
the water). Take a right at the stop sign onto Sunset Drive. Go thru the first stop
light (intersection of 69) and the recreation center will be on the right just past
the baseball field and gymnasium. The large multi-purpose room is in the center of
the complex.
From Arab: Take 69 over the water toward Guntersville. Go right at the first stop
light onto Sunset Drive. The rec center is just past the baseball field and gymnasium
on the right.
From Gadsden: Take 431 into Guntersville. Take a left at hwy 69 (Henry St) and
go over the hill. Go left onto Sunset Drive. The rec center is just past the baseball
field and gymnasium on the right.

USA Dance -
Second Sunday of each month from 2:00 to 5:00 with a dance lesson from
2:00 to 2:30. The dances will be held at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 607 Airport Road SW,
Huntsville, Alabama 35802. The dance will be held in a huge room with a wood floor. Music by

The Dance Club -
Every Tuesday night from 7:30 to 10:15, The Dance Club presents ballroom dancing
at Roller Time skating rink, 707 Arcadia Circle. The 15,000 square-foot wooden
dance floor is the largest in the South and arguably the largest in the country. On the
first Tuesday in each month music is provided by a live band, while on other Tuesdays

Northeast Alabama Ballroom Dance Society -
There are monthly dances at the Rainbow City Community Center (6 miles from Gadsden).

Mars Ballroom Dance Society -
The MARS Ballroom Dance Club was organized for government employees of the
Marshall Space Flight Center and the independent contractors who work with them.
The club sponsors 4 dinner dances throughout the year that are open
to the general public. Their dances are held at the Huntsville Civic Center.

Twickenham Ballroom Dance Club-
TBDC sponsors three dinner dance parties each year with recorded music.
Dress is dance casual attire (necktie optional). The parties are intended
primarily for couples as the club prefers to maintain a gender balance at
its activities.
